Tried running the demo, but given that I'm on Linux, the game won't open under wine, nor through steam. Wine mentioned some OpenGL 4.4 thing, after some googling it seems like it's an engine specific thing. It's a shame, most of the time wine does the job with no problems
I sadly have never tried or had anyone try it on Linux before, but what I can say is that it is originally made for Windows only, so I apologize for the complication
I understand, I'm more so just noticing you or whoever else might wanna play this on linux that it doesn't work. As I said, almost all games I try on itch usually run with no issues under wine, but there are rare cases like this. Might try to spin up a windows VM in the future and play on that though
Thank you for checking out the game page! You can see on my oldest posts and my gameplay videos on my small YouTube channel that the character portraits were, at the very start of development and the first versions, AI generated. As I received more revenue I replaced them through commissioned portraits, made by a very talented artist. The same goes for any art on the games main page.
The combat is too rng-based, it feels annoying to repeat a fight so you can beat it with better luck, and the potions run out so quickly that it feels that you get stuck until you just have better luck, otherwise I like the game, nice story and music, animations and models look good too. This game is nearly perfect, the combat is holding it back tho..
I've removed the critical hit chance of enemies to get rid of the RNG factor, this should make it more enjoyable now :) since the rest of the enemies combat AI follows a certain structure that is unique to each foe, I've kept the rest as it is
If it wasn't for the nerd mansion YT account I wouldn't found your game, I think your account is private, same with your game or something because I couldn't find either when searching normally. I can find my game when searching normally, so I think there is some setting you ticked.
I just double checked it and searched for it myself, but it shows up in the results normally. I can also see in the analytics that parts of my viewers came from search results, so that is... strange, to say the least. I don't know why it didn't show up for you o.O
Wow. I literally rubbed my eyes and checked to see if I was seeing things but I'm surprised to find a game about the scribblehub story I read a long time ago. Just found it from mindlessly scrolling through itch.io for indie games.
Definitely going to try this out and hope development for this game goes nice and steady!
Gave it a go after reading about it on Reddit (hi!) and I'm positively surprised by the quality here, especially given it's a first project by a solo dev! There's some rough edges in both the technical side and the writing, but still I can't wait to see more. Keep it up, my friend!
Thanks so much for having taken the time to play! ^^ I'll try to fix the bugs that I am currently aware about, but as always, if there is anything disrupting the game enjoyment, let me know and I'll see to it as fast as I can

What engine was this made in? Also, was there any AI used during the development of this game?
edit: Checked out some of the posts, RPG maker it is. Still curious about the AI part though

I just searched for it right now, and it appeared on my search results. So weird.
Dope game! midway it started to lag on me and had to mess with the setting. Definitely could map more efficiently to keep lag from happening.

Thank you a lot for trying it out ^^ the game might deviate from the written story, but I hope it will be enjoyable!
